Welcome to America's Blood Centers. It's About Life.

UPDATE: Earthquake in Haiti
Shipments of blood to Haiti continue, with the next scheduled to be on a flight on March 17. It will include 100 units. The most recent shipment, which arrived in Port-au-Prince on Feb. 23, consisted of 350 units. The shipment included contributions from six America’s Blood Centers member centers (New York Blood Center; Mississippi Blood Services; Central Illinois Community Blood Center; LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, South Bend Medical Foundation and Lane Memorial Blood Bank), while other blood banking organizations provided the rest. Community Blood Centers of South Florida (also an ABC member center) received and repackaged the units, which were sent to Haiti on a charter flight paid for by Quick International Courier.

America's Blood Centers encourages the public to contact their local blood center to schedule an appointment for a future date to ensure the continuation of a stable and adequate blood supply.

Please remember the importance of donating blood year round to meet emergency and every day needs. Thank you.
