Remember Case for a Cause throughout February

Want to help the Foundation for America's Blood Centers (FABC) with its quest to assist developing countries improve their blood services to save more lives? Expression Wines is for you! This vineyard with heart has used its "Case for a Cause" program to support a number of nonprofit organizations over the years. 

Through February 29th they will donate $50 directly to the FABC with every 6-pack purchase of 2008 Gap's Crown Vineyard Chardonnay or 2007 Roserock Vineyard Pinot Noir to the FABC to support the Nigeria project, which enables and supports the establishment of voluntary blood donor programs in areas of Africa where blood is not readily available from blood centers.

NHS Blood and Transplant Participates in AIM Pilot 

NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) and America's Blood Centers recently issued a joint news release announcing that a trial is under way, which could give hospitals across England and North Wales the ability to track their use of blood to help improve patient outcomes. NHSBT will use America’s Blood Centers’ Appropriate Inventory Management (AIM) system at four English teaching hospitals in order to collect data about the clinical use of blood transfusions.
