Blood Donors: An Elite Group

Although an estimated 38 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood at any given time*, less than 10 percent do so annually.

*Many individuals may be only temporarily ineligible due mild illnesses (colds or flu), symptomatic allergies, hypertension, diabetes, and anemia.

Organize a Blood Drive

Corporate blood drives are America's Blood Centers members' largest source of blood donations – followed by schools, civic groups and the faith community.

Volunteer

Local blood centers need volunteers to help conduct blood drives and encourage other members of the community members to get involved.
